As a member of the National Concrete Bridge Council (NCBC), ICRI is proud to make our members aware of this upcoming NCBC webinar. The use of silica fume in conjunction with higher amounts of other SCMs can reduce the quantity of Portland cement required and lead to a significant reduction in CO2 associated with concrete construction. Using silica fume to produce high-strength concrete bridge components can reduce the volume of concrete and reinforcement required and increase the service life of concrete bridges exposed to chlorides and other chemicals.
