As a member of the National Concrete Bridge Council (NCBC), ICRI is proud to make our members aware of this upcoming NCBC webinar. PTI has launched a new program focused on qualifying, testing, and certifying Multi-strand Post-tensioning Systems (PTS). The certification program is based on the PTI/ASBI M50.3 specification, a standard already supported by numerous state DOTs and FHWA. Once certified, these systems will be registered on the PTI website. The owners can confidently use these systems on their bridges, instead of maintaining their own individual prequalification processes. The program is underway. Initial system submissions began in July 2024 and audits are scheduled through October 2024. The first certified PTS should be registered in November.
